What happened to Alstons bedroom furniture?

Alstons discontinued their bedroom furniture range in 2011 however, they continue to manufacture sofas. Their cabinet and wardrobe products were popular with consumers, especially their Oyster Bay range. Each cabinet was made with the utmost care and to a high level of quality.

In 2011 the company announced their bedroom cabinet furniture was no longer profitable and that the cabinet side of the business was going into a redundancy consultation.

What about the sofa side of the business?

Alstons continue to manufacture sofas, chairs and sofa beds in their Colchester factory. Their upholstery is made to the same outstanding level of quality that their cabinets were.

Are there alternative brands that make high quality bedroom furniture?

We receive many calls enquiring whether we still sell Alstons bedroom furniture and we understand how disappointing it is that they are no longer made. Alstons do still make sofas but for bedroom furniture there are other brands we can recommend.
